Gold Dust Eartheater
A sandy substrate is necessary for all Geophagus due to their earth-eating habits. Geophagus sp. Alto Sinu is a Colombian species that has been tank raised in many farms around the world. They have earned the common name “Gold Dust” by exhibiting very impressive scale patterns of blue iridescence over a golden body. They are considered one of the more beautiful species of Geophagus currently in the hobby. Their behavior and max size is similar to Red Head Tapajos, making them an attractive tankmate for medium-sized cichlids and characins.
